Metal recipe

Since it is the fall, salads are now energetically too cold. Salads will cool down the body, whilst in this time of year, you should make a start with warm(er) foods. As we said in our blog on the metal element, which you will find under ‘related subjects’, food with the colour white, such as cauliflower or onions, will be good for your lungs and for your large intestine. Soups are always good in Chinese medicine. So, down below, you will find a recipe for a nutritious soup.

The recipe

  • Chop onions, zucchine and carrots in little pieces.
  • Put the organic, cold pressed, oliveoil in a pan. Fry the onions.
  • Put the zucchine and carrots in, together with fresh thyme leaves and oregano. Let it simmer.
  • Then put in a bit of fresh ginger, some garlic, a bit of seasalt, the coriander, the cumin en de turmeric.
  • Add the red lentils, put the water in and stir.
  • Put a little bayleaf leaf in.
  • Let it cook until the veggies are ready.
  • You can garnish with fresh parsley en fresh coriander.

Enjoy your meal!
