This is a biennial plant/herb. I think it is an intriguing one, because it takes on different forms. At first is has little purple flowers, than it gets a kind of green coins and last but not least, those coins become transparent. When they get transparent, you can see and harvest the seeds in the coins. That’s the time the plant is most decorative in my opinion. You can use it in dry bouquet.
The root can be eaten and is often made with vinegar and salt.
The seeds are used to regulate periods and expel urine from the body. It is a pungent herb that also acts on the throat and does something for bad breath.
This herb helps to calm emotions, handle emotions and let emotions flow through. It is an herb that opens us up and opens us to receive. The mythology attributes long life and money to this herb.
