In March I had my CT-scan with dye and an appointment with my GI specialist. I was so scared! And I was over the moon to hear that there was no leackage and that there are no inflammations at the moment. I did a happy dance with my Dwarrel pug-man when I came home! There are a lot of adhesions though, due to the surgeries I had and those influence the mobility and motility of my intestine. This is lasting restdamage of the surgeries. The GI specialist referred me to a dietician. And…I found an orthomolecular one and a great one! She is going to help me find out which nutrients I lack, because my intestines are still not absorbing everything, which make me easily exhausted. I still have to plan my activities. Come to think of it, not so strange, since there have been low- and middle grade inflammations for at least 4 years, before everything spiraled out of control last summer.
One could say, these were very traumatic years on every level, followed by a surgical trauma to top it off. That’s why I started and still have brainspotting sessions and those sessions work so well! Every session gives new insights, takes a bit of the stress away and provides much needed intergration. I am so grateful for them! There will be a guestblog on brainspotting in a while.
Can you believe that on April 17, I was 6 months post-op? I can hardly believe it myself. My, my, my, what a ride this has been! I am always amazed how fast time travels and how much can happen in such a short time. Life works in mysterious ways and live life to the fullest every moment. I am so, so grateful for every given new day.
Since I am missing a part of my intestine, I need to drink more water than usual. In the beginning, I messed up every once in a while and got symptoms of dehydration. But then, I found an app that warns me when I need water. Whiehoo, what an invention! The app made me aware of the fact the we need way more water then we might think! It’s a free app that I can highly recommend.
On April 6, another special day, we celebrated the 11th birthday of my Dwarrel pug-man, my precious companion of almost 11 years. He truly is the sweetest, fourlegged furball on the face of this earth!
At the beginning of March, I started to write on a book. I will not reveal the subject just yet, as it still is in very early stages, but I will keep you posted!
In April, I finally finished my herbal garden, with the help of two very hardworking guys. It is so great to have another piece of my property finished and it is absolutely a blast to see those magical, healing herbs grow and I totally love the return of the beesand butterflies in my garden as well.
Happy new month everybody, make the most of it!
