SUMMER EXERCISE

Qi is the Chinese word for lifeforce, the inspiring force that flows through all the lives. The regular Western vision on movement, contains muscles, oxygen and blood. In the Chinese vision, there is another power behind this and that force is called qi. Qi moves through meridians. You could see the meridians as an energetic highway that runs throughout your body. Pain in the body, means that there is some sort of blockage going on. The blockage can be in an organ or in a meridian. Movement is a great way to get rid of blockages. So, below you will find an exercise to release a possible blockage in the heart meridian.

Summer exercise.

The meridian of your heart, runs through your arms.

Sit up straight. One straight line from your crown to your sitting bones.

Feet firmly, yet softly on the floor. Feel the contact you are making with the ground.

Breathe slowly and conciously.

Now stretch your right arm in front of  you.

Take your right hand with your left hand and bend the right hand upward towards your body. Breathe toward the stretch you are making. Hold this position als long as you are comfortable. Shake your hand lose and resume the beginning position.

Now bend your hand downward. Also hold this position as long as you are comfortable. Shake lose.

Change sides and start from the beginning.

Please let us know how you are doing with this exercise. You can use the contact button to do so.
