We were asked by a loyal reader of our blogs, to tell more about herbs. So, bernargie is this months herb. Because Bernargie is an ideal skin cleanser. And as you might have read, the organs of the metal element are the lungs and the large intestine, who both have an effect on the skin.

  • You can make an oil of the seeds and than you will have your own borage oil without chemical additives. You can use this oil with a variety of skinproblems, like eczema, but also for rheumatic complaints.
  • You can use fresh and dry leaves for making tea. Just be careful that you do not cook the leaves, otherwise the vitamins and minerals are lost.
  • You can also use the juice of the Bernargie to get a better mood.
  • In early days, the flowers were used in coughing sirup.

The fowers and the leaves stimulate the adrenal glands. Bernargie is a herb that brings joy, gives energy and alertness.

Bernargie is very suitable for people who have to follow a low-salt diet, because Bernargie provides the body with extra minerals.

Bernargie is an annual, easy to grow herb, that even grows in poor soil.
