Spring exercise

In previous blogs we talked about how important movement is for the heart, for the blood and lymphatic flow, for your physical pension and for the liver energy.

According to chinese medicine, energy travels through meridians. You could see meridians as a sort of highway. The liver has a long meridian and part of it runs through the groin. For this month, we have two exercises that frees the liver energy in the groin and they go as follows.

Exercise 1

Stand up straight. Feet hip width. Feet flat on the floor. Put your entire weight on one leg, really feel the weight. When you start to feel stable, raise the knee of the other leg. Keep your balance and start to circle with the knee, outwardly and inwardly. Keep the knee up. So, you open the groin and you close the groin.

Breathe slowly in and out. Focus on your balance. When you circled a few times in and out, put your foot back down and repeat the movement with your other leg.

Exercise 2

Lay flat onyour back. The knees go up and put your feet close to yourbumbum. Let the knees fall open; the knees are pointing outwardly. Let your soles touch eacht other. The groin is free now and your back will arch a litle. Breathe slowly and deeply in and out. When it is enough for you, bring the knees back together, feet flat on the floor again.

You can do both exercises as often and as long as you want.

Enjoy the movement and don’tforget to let us know how it went and if you like doing this exercise. Just hit the contact button!
