Earth exercise

This months exercise is as easy as it might be hard for some people.

The earth element is the element that balances. All exercises that have to do with balance, will strengthen your earth element (spleen and stomach).

Exercise 1

Stand up straight with your feet hipwidth.

A straight line from your sit bone to your crown.

Your feet firmly on the ground. Do not lock your knees; the energy need to flow through.

Relax your whole body.

When you experience enough relaxation, move your body weight to one leg and lift the foot of the other leg a little. Focus on your breath and tighten your belly muscles a little. Keep this position as long as you are comfortable. Then change sides.

You can do this balance exercise as much as you want. You can do it everywhere!

Exercise 2

A little more advanced…

Stand up straight with your feet hipwidth.

A straight line from your sitbone to your crown.

Your feet firmly on the ground.

Relax your whole body.

When you experience enought relaxation, move your full body weight to one leg and raise your knee towards your hips. You climb in your hip. Both of your hips should be in a horizontal position. Do not lock your knees! Keep this position as long as you are comfortable. Thighten the muscles in your belly and breathe deep.

When you start practising balance exercises, keep something nearby for safety, so you can reach out in case you lose balance.

An additional advantage of balance exercises, is that you train your core as well. Core training is also important for your abdominal-brain balance.
